We’re proud of our diverse culture and heritage here at Holy Cross, and it was fantastic to see everyone coming together for Cultural Celebration Day, the highlight of One World Week, just before the Easter break.
Thank you to all the students and staff involved and to everyone who visited the hall to take part in the wide variety of activities on offer, including:
- Learning a few words in a different language (Yoruba, French, Malayalam, Urdu, Mandarin and Pashto)
- Marking your heritage and links on our world map
- Adding your name to our giant paper chain
- Having your hand decorated with henna/mehndi
- Trying a sweet treat from around the world
- Playing your favourite board games and discover their country of origin
- ‘What the ‘eck?’ Learning more about the history and culture of Manchester and Lancashire
