We'd like to thank MP for Bury South Christian Wakeford and MP for Bury North James Frith MP for visiting Holy Cross.
Both MPs spent time speaking to our students, who asked interesting questions about topics including the defence budget, welfare payments and taxation.
Christian and James also heard from our incredible teaching staff about the importance of retaining student choice when it comes to the Applied General Qualifications on offer to students once they leave high school.
Courses such as the BTEC in Applied Science (both single and triple options) are not only popular courses with students, they are vital qualifications to improve social mobility and the economy, so their importance cannot be underestimated.
