Ramadan fundraising challenge for clean water across the globe

Water is the key to all life. Yet across the globe, a staggering 785 million people are going thirsty each and every day.

Without safe and clean water to drink, these people risk dehydration, disease and at worst, death.

This year, the Chemistry and Applied Science department is raising money this Ramadan to help Global Ehsan Relief provide clean water in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka and Pakistan via hand-pumps and deep wells.

The total being aimed for is £1,025 - this will provide six hand-pumps and two deep wells.
