The final Accounting, Tax and Business clinic

The final clinic for this academic year took place on 13th March 2024. A real-life learning curve for all the students, who experienced a fantastic range of practical accounting tasks. This included doing self-assessments, making financial recommendations to a local charity, discussing the formalities of changing ownership. Throughout the academic year, all upper sixth student were given a dedicated week to attend the clinic and the feedback was fantastic. One student mention how they talked about their experience during an interview at Deloitte, which led to him successfully securing an apprenticeship. For some students it was an eye opener, as they were able to see the scope of accounting profession. Dr Sadiq from Bolton University provided an excellent service to students and linked classroom learning to real-life application. Well done to everyone involved!
