A huge thank you to Baroness Sheehan for giving her time to visit Holy Cross College.
The Baroness of Tooting and Wimbledon is one of the first ever female Pakistani members of the House of Lords, a practicing Muslim, a proud Liberal Democrat and tireless campaigner against climate change who has also done much work on international development.
Baroness Sheehan talked to our students about her life since moving to the United Kingdom from Lahore, Pakistan at the age of five to being made a member of the House of Lords in 2015, the challenges in making progress with climate change and an inside view into politics, her presentation being followed by Q&As.
