Overview
Alongside your Level 3 programme of study, you have the chance to extend your mathematics skills beyond GCSE and gain an AS qualification which is recognised and sought after by universities and employers. Core Mathematics supports students who study Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Business, Accounting, Computing, Psychology, Geography and Geology, to enhance the mathematical skills required in those subjects.
Some students may choose to take Core Maths. Other students may be identified from their GCSEs that Core Maths will be beneficial to support the A level course choices, and so will be enrolled in September onto the course.
