New Students’ Day at Holy Cross is on Monday 22nd June 2026.

The first lesson begins at 9am – please aim to arrive on site by 8.40am at the latest.

How do I RSVP?

Once you log into your Student Portal, you’ll see your invitation to New Students’ Day and two buttons – I am attending and I cannot attend.

Please select your option and make sure you do this by Monday 1st June 2026.

FREE LUNCH for everyone – more details

All students can collect a free lunch from our college canteen on New Students’ Day.

The menu is available here. The dishes on the free lunch menu are some of our students’ favourites!

Once you’ve confirmed you are attending on your Student Portal, you will see two buttons – I’d like the free lunch and I’ll bring my own. Please select your option.

Once you’ve arrived on site at Holy Cross, you will be unable to leave the campus until the end of New Students’ Day.

If you would prefer to bring your own lunch, you’re very welcome to.

What’s the deadline to RSVP?

You must RSVP on your Student Portal by Monday 1st June 2026.

This will mean your timetable will be created and you’ll be ready to go on New Students’ Day.

How do I find out what my timetable is?

Your timetable for New Students’ Day will be released on your Student Portal on the week beginning Monday 15th June.

Please download or take a screenshot of your timetable, so it’s easily accessible on your phone on the day.

There will also be a printed copy available for you to collect from the Main Hall on New Students’ Day.

What else is happening on the day?

Your timetable will show:

  • Taster sessions in your chosen subjects (most students choose three)
  • An assembly in the Main Hall
  • Morning break (11am – 11.30am, includes a free cookie)
  • Lunch break (11.30am, 12.30pm or 1.30pm)
  • A free period* (extra chance to complete the Campus Quiz)

*Students choosing four subjects will not have a free period on their timetable.

What’s the Campus Quiz and what’s the prize?

This is your chance to win a £100 Amazon gift card!

During your free period, lunch or break, head to five different locations across campus.

The Library
Tutorial Rooms
The Chapel
Student Services
Reception

Here you'll find a three-digit number and a QR code to scan to take part. Add your answers and then total them up at the end to reveal a four-digit number.

All correct answers go into a draw to win a £100 Amazon gift card – this means every question needs to be answered correctly, as well as the final total.

If you don’t have your phone with you on the day, don’t worry! Pick up a paper quiz sheet from Reception or Student Services.

What if I get lost?

All students are given a map and all our main building doors are numbered.

You can always ask a member of staff or a student guide for help too.

What if I want to change my chosen subjects?

We’re unable to make any changes before New Students’ Day.

All discussions about changing subjects will be handled at Enrolment in August.

When is Enrolment?

All students with a Conditional Offer will be invited to Enrolment on the following dates:

Thursday 20th and Friday 21st August 2026

Please ensure you can attend on one of these dates to complete your Enrolment with us.

We will send more details nearer the time, which includes what to do if you’re out of the country – stay tuned on your Student Portal
