Everything you need to know about Induction 2026

Welcome to Holy Cross College as a new student!

Now your Enrolment is complete, you need to return to college on Thursday 3rd September (8.30am to 3.45pm) for your Induction.  

During this time, you will take part in a range of activities designed to introduce you to Holy Cross, including:  

• Freshers' Fair (Drama Studio) 
• Enrichment introduction   
• Tour of the college 
• IT skills session 

Where do I go first? 

Before you come in on Thursday 3rd September, you will receive a text message confirming your assigned base room.  

Please go straight to this room when you arrive – here’s where you will receive your timetable for the day. Guides will be available across the campus to assist you if needed. 

The timetable for Induction is not the same as your timetable for college. 

When do college lessons start? 

Your timetabled lessons begin for all students from Monday 7th September, and you will receive your timetable on the week beginning Tuesday 1st September.  

You will be sent a text message and email when your college timetable is ready to view. 

Lunch options 

A variety of food will be available from the refectory, or you may wish to bring your own lunch. 

If you are eligible for free school meals, please provide your name and PIN number at the refectory till and show your ID card. 

If you cannot attend Induction:

Please email studentservices@holycross.ac.uk with the reasons why and your student PIN (from your ID badge).
