Theology study day for Year 1 students
All Year 1 Theology, Philosophy & Ethics (TPE) students were invited to a rich and engaging Theology study day.
The day encouraged students to deepen their understanding of Christian interpretations of key events within both Jewish scriptures and the New Testament.
We also welcomed former student Eleanor back to Holy Cross to share her inspiring journey since studying A Level Religious Studies.
From working at a retreat centre in Devon, to contributing to the Church of England’s work in Geneva, and now studying Theology at Oxford University, Eleanor’s talk offered students a powerful insight into the exciting pathways a qualification in TPE can open.

Inspiring the next generation of TPE students
We were delighted to welcome back former student Ellen, who returned to college to speak with current Year 2 TPE students.
Ellen shared her journey studying Communications and Philosophy BA (Hons) at Nottingham Trent University, offering valuable insight into university life, course choices and progression beyond college.
Hearing first‑hand experiences from former students is always inspiring for our learners, and Ellen’s visit provided a motivating and informative opportunity for students to reflect on their own next steps.
It was a pleasure to have her back and to celebrate her achievements since leaving Holy Cross.
