From Level 2 to Outstanding A Level Success: Anum's Holy Cross Journey 

Starting college on a Level 2 programme is not a barrier to success. 

For Anum, it was the first step towards achieving exceptional results and creating exciting opportunities for her future. 

Anum joined Holy Cross in 2023 on a Level 2 Foundation Year, studying GCSE courses in Sociology, Psychology, Graphics and English Language. 

Like many students, she saw the Foundation Year as an opportunity to strengthen her academic skills, build confidence and prepare for the next stage of her education. 

That foundation proved invaluable. 

After successfully completing her Level 2 studies, Anum progressed onto A Levels here with us at Holy Cross, choosing English Language, Sociology, Law and Business. 

While most students study three A Levels, Anum challenged herself by taking four subjects. 

Her hard work and determination paid off with an incredible set of results: 

A* in English Language 

A* in Sociology 

A* in Law 

A in Business 

Her success demonstrates just how far students can go when they are given the right support, guidance and opportunities. 

Looking ahead 

Having studied at Holy Cross for three years, Anum now has a strong platform for the future.  

She is considering a career in Law, either through a degree apprenticeship or by attending university, and has already received university offers before deciding to defer for a year.

She credits the encouragement of her teachers and fellow students for helping her achieve her goals. 

“The teachers and the community at Holy Cross were such a supportive help, especially since I started on the Level 2 programme. 

“I built on that to go on to take four A Levels at once and achieved three A*s and an A.
